A new chapter — welcome to The Edit.

IMARO is stepping into a new era, and I wanted to share it with you directly.

From the start, IMARO has been about celebrating the creatives and culture shaping our world. Now we're getting closer than ever. We're shifting our focus to digital — storytelling that lives where you do, in real time and in motion — and stepping out from behind the page to show up in the room: at more community events, in conversation, shoulder to shoulder with the people and movements we cover. This next chapter is about presence and intimacy.

That brings a meaningful change to the magazine. We're moving away from quarterly issues to pour that energy into two definitive annual editions — IMARO Magazine and IMARO Man. Fewer issues, but each one richer, more intentional, and made to be kept.

IMARO Sports is evolving, too — turning our lens toward the next generation, showcasing young athletes and helping them build their brands in their own likeness.

The page may look a little different, but the heart hasn't changed: real people, real stories, real culture. Welcome to The Edit. I'm so glad you're here — come along with us.

    C. Nathaniel Brown is an award-winning filmmaker, best-selling author, and storytelling coach whose work work centers on mental and brain health advocacy. Founder and CEO of Atlanta-based “Expected End Entertainment,” he has written, produced, and/or directed more than 40 films addressing critical social issues, including dementia, mental illness, and domestic violence. His documentary, “Remember Me: Dementia in the African American Community” and his book, “Exposing Dementia” led to the creation of Expose Dementia, Inc., a non-profit using media and the arts to educate, advocate, and honor those impacted by dementia.
